Experteer Overview
In this role you will oversee news content to ensure fairness, balance, and accuracy while producing daily newscasts and guiding special programming. You’ll lead by example in a fast-paced newsroom, coordinating with producers, reporters, and editors to craft coverage and maintain high journalistic standards. You’ll manage breaking news and collaborate with News Directors to shape segments, with a focus on serving local communities. This is a high-impact position that shapes how audiences are informed, empowered, and engaged.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Oversee daily newscasts to serve local communities with relevant information
- Supervise producers and reporters, review scripts, and provide feedback to enhance storytelling
- Manage newsroom and breaking news situations to grow audiences
- Collaborate with News Directors and station managers to create special segments
- Plan and oversee continuity into upcoming newscasts
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Proven track record of creating compelling stories across multiple platforms
- Ability to perform well under pressure and manage breaking news with strict deadlines
- Ability to identify problems and provide solutions
- Strong commitment to journalistic standards and ethics
- Exceptional people skills with coaching and motivating abilities
- Strong understanding of driving digital traffic
- Minimum four years producing in a television news environment or equivalent
- College degree in Journalism or related field preferred
- Strong writing skills and a proven record of getting results on initiatives
