In this role, you will lead field-driven projects from concept to startup, working closely with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to deliver safe, fit-for-purpose solutions. You’ll spend substantial time on site, translating conditions into practical execution while managing scope, schedule, and cost. You’ll mentor engineers, develop execution plans, and ensure regulatory compliance and safe handover. The opportunity combines hands-on field work with cross‑functional leadership to impact the business and host communities.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Spend significant time in the field across planning, construction, commissioning, and handover to ensure safe, practical execution
Lead field engineering activities and verify design alignment with real‑world conditions
Develop project execution plans and assemble the owner’s team with necessary resources
Drive projects from concept through closeout and maintain strong visibility with construction and operations
Supervise and mentor engineers and contractors, set objectives, and provide feedback
Develop proposals, cost estimates, and procurement specifications for EPC bid packages
Represent stakeholder interests on site and ensure clear communication among engineering, contractors, and site departments
Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, and scope, reporting deviations with countermeasures
Ensure engineering specs comply with codes, policies, standards, and environmental permits
Interface with environmental to secure permitting and prevent delays
Prepare CAPEX requests and champion funding, maintain cost records
Perform risk analysis and assess opportunities across project phases
Oversee QA/QC against budgets, schedules, and reporting
Create/update SOPs and asset management tactics for training during commissioning
Develop project metrics framework and support data reconciliation and analytics
Ensure project controls procedures are implemented via field engagement and cross‑functional coordination
Preform other duties as required

Zentrale Anforderungen

B.S. degree in Engineering or related field and/or 10+ years directly managing contractor work in the field
Experience in field-based environments (construction sites, industrial facilities, or mining operations)
8+ years in project planning/management with competency in execution, construction, commissioning, and handover (preferred)
Experience leading teams of engineers, field staff, and contractors
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with design and scheduling software (preferred)
Strong interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration
Knowledge of contract/contractor management practices
Knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards (preferred)
Ability to work in field environments for extended periods
