In this role you will drive equipment strategy and delivery for pharmaceutical washing and sterilization, supporting West's position as a technical leader. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal equipment performance across global sites. You will lead standardization efforts and tackle design challenges, enabling safer, more efficient production. This role offers the opportunity to influence GMP-enabled manufacturing at scale and partner with vendors to implement impactful improvements. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Serve as global SME for washing and sterilization equipment; lead engineers, plant ops, and vendors to develop specifications for new systems and improvements to existing processes.
- Drive standardization and harmonization of production equipment and related documentation across the global network.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering to identify improvement opportunities and design challenges.
- Monitor emerging equipment standards and market trends to propose value-added enhancements.
- Investigate root causes of equipment failures with vendors and implement validated modifications.
- Lead problem-solving activities to support plants in resolving equipment-related issues.
- Coordinate GMP-related validations and process engineering evaluations for equipment.
- Act as primary technical contact for vendors, managing tasks and deliverables (FAT, SAT, IOQ).
- Establish equipment standards to align with Quality, Efficiency, Cost Reduction, and Safety goals.
- Manage equipment projects from URS through PQ with GMP-compliant documentation.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and manuals for feasibility and applicability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align initiatives with corporate objectives.
- Ensure equipment compliance with Safety Regulations and internal standards.
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or Engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of engineering principles in cleanroom and GMP environments
- Proven experience managing equipment projects (specification, procurement, installation, qualification)
- Excellent engineering and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated project management experience in dynamic environments with minimal supervision
